finally in NZ

so i have been in town for about 10 days now after 2 days of delay in LA. heh i was sleeping in el segundo! thanks to my visitors....it made for a lovely few days.

fiji was gorgeous....for the 8 hours i was there...sleeping and being attacked by bugs.

since being here, bex and eric got married on a black sand beach called piha. it was the perfect day. from there we scurrie off to the coromandel peninsula and camped there, spent time in hahei which has hot water beaches. basically you dig your personal spa in a beach and chanel the hot water into it. funny to watch tourists (including me) run through the hot water. we went to a gorgeous beach called cathedral cove. good timing too bc a day before they were filming the 2ng narnia right there. both nights camping there we saw dolphins in the water. it was a great start to the week.

from there we went inland towards the mountains and did some mini hikes.

now i am in aukland and looking into how to get over to east cape where i can be the first to watch the sunrise that day!

i am counting down the days till i am off to NZ with a pit stop in Fiji...heh what a hard life i do lead ;)
i got into St Louis about 2 weeks ago and have been running around the city getting things in order before i jet outta here. last weekend i went to chicago to see my friends from u of i. i stayed with jackie kelly and brit and fell in love with their apt.
i stopped by champaign on my drive back and gotta see miss kristin barlet, heh just kidding bartelt.
tuesday my new niece was born....
